She sat in the stationers surrounded by piles of paper in various shades of ecru and ivory. She inspected the letterpress, engraving, and various monograms. It looked elegant, but none of it seemed inspired. After hours searching in futility, she gave up on the invitation search. Boooo-ring. She would much rather focus on the dress, or even the food or the flowers for that matter. To her mother, though, invitations were paramount. 'They set the tone for the wedding!' her mother insisted. She shook her head; she just didn't get it.

She admired the way the words seemed to flow like water across the paper. In fact, she couldn't stop looking at them.
