Ridiculously cute new bride to be!

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

Sylvia found my bridal jewelry at Amy Kuschel’s salon and wanted a custom necklace made for her wedding, so I whipped something up for her and I CAN’T WAIT to see the pictures. The wedding is next weekend in Puerto Rico and she is stunningly beautiful as well as sweet as can be. I did an inspiration board for her wedding, and added my own touches.
Fucshia and Cyan

Her wedding will be in a church, then the reception will take place outside on the beach with lit pathways to the water, tropical flowers in pinks and whites with touches of cyan blue. Did I mention she is adorable? Well she is wearing a sexy Watters wedding dress and she will truly be stunning in it. I envision their wedding will be casually elegant with a bit of pomp yet still beachy.

The bridal necklace she liked was the Tattinger, but she wanted it with a longer drop as well as in white topaz and cream freshwater pearls. I whipped it up in the champagne colorway and sent it to her, oooops! We live so close to one another we met up so I could give her the right one and so that she could pick out some earrings. I had the kids with me and Ethan was seriously smitten with Sylvia. I have never seen him like that and it was cracking me right UP! And Scarlett couldn’t quite understand why she didn’t meet us in a white wedding dress as I had told her Sylvia was a bride.;)

My first Style Me Pretty Inspiration Board!

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

Let’s see if I can get this thing to work, oooh it worked! Gorgeous, right?

Photo credit for the water balloon engagement shots and the wedding flower pics go to Daniel Kiyoi.

Here are all the delicious details!

Julie the bride contacted me wanting to know if the Apolonia earrings could have pearls as opposed to the gorgeous sparkly cubic zirconia they currently drip with… OF COURSE I told her. Then she let me in on all the wonderful details of her romantic escapades which are about to ensue.

Julie and Matt met through a matchmaker, which I LOVE because clearly they are a MATCH and sometimes you just need somebody to point you in the right direction or you keep missing each other! Here is Julie’s side of the story:

Timing is everything.

Both of us are Bruins…but we never met during our time in Westwood.

Both of us participated in UCLA’s Spring Sing…but while Julie was singing, Matt was providing comic relief.

Both of us worked for the Athletic Department at UCLA…but we happened to be on different floors.

Both of us share a number of friends…but our social circles never intersected.

Both of us travelled to “The Land of Milk & Honey” as part of Birthright Israel…but our trips were 6 years apart.

Both of us competed in the LA Marathon…but we missed each other by 1 year.

Enter Irene Lodmer. We thank our lucky stars every day for Irene…the best matchmaker in the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Our first date was more like an unintended reunion…two people with everything in common catching-up on “The Good Ol’ Days.”

Our second date was a confirmation of our compatibility…it’s rare to find two people who consider take-out Vegan food to be the ideal dinner.

Our third date sealed the deal…we knew that we were meant for each other.

More to come…

Amethyst Bridesmaid Jewelry

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

A bride contacted me for amethyst jewelry for her bridesmaids. She loved the Tiffany bracelet, but she wanted a coordinating necklace and earrings. I think she is mixing it up and her girls are all going to have coordinating yet different jewelry which is a look I absolutely love. I was never a fan of the carbon copy bridesmaid.;)

Here is the original Tiffany bracelet:

And here are the necklace and earrings I came up with to work within her budget:

Sara’s Bridesmaid Jewelry

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

I met Sara a few weeks ago at Amy Kushel’s bridal salon here in San Francisco. She has these great earrings she is wearing with her wedding dress, they have gorgeous orange carnelian stones in them. I love brides that aren’t afraid of a little color! She wanted to do similar colored jewelry for her bridesmaids, and here is what we came up with!

2 new earrings

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

A friend asked me to design a couple of WOW earrings for her. She wanted one in silver and one in 14k gold, one in blue and one in green and we talked about the Alegra style which is one of my absolute favorite WOW earrings. These are the earrings I designed, I really love how they came out and I hope she does too! Maybe she will get dolled up and have her pic taken wearing them, hint, hint.;)

Chocolate Brown and Purple, yummy!

Monday, September 15th, 2008

I am finishing up jewelry for a bride who is getting married this fall.  Her colors are chocolate brown with touches of purple.  I love this color combo for a wedding.  Actually, I love brown, and anything you put with it looks amazing.  It is so much more elegant than pairing things with black, gives everything a sultry elegant feeling.  Here is what we came up with for her bridesmaid’s jewelry:

Nice, right?  The bracelets are a version of the Tiffany bracelet.  And the earrings are versions of the Phoebe earring and the Abby earring.  I can’t wait to get real pics from her wedding to see all the bridesmaid jewelry in action!
